AIGA's Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women's Vote Campaign
This poster was created for & submitted to AIGA’s Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women’s Vote campaign. The poster then became the basis for a larger identity system of design objects including an "I Voted" sticker, a social media thumbnail, & a denim jacket. The identity system was inspired by historical images of suffragettes.

This poster uses a historical image of a woman’s torso as a reference & backdrop to discuss the history of women’s voting rights. The purple of the clothing & yellow of the brooch are the official colors of the National Women’s Party, whom have fought for women’s suffrage since 1916.
The pins & buttons adorned on the clothing draw a line from the beginning of the women’s rights movement to present day, with phrases used by women throughout history & a call to action with the 2020 election. The typefaces used on the pins & buttons are created by women; pins & buttons themselves are a common artifact from the suffrage movement, with hundreds of different pins created by many different organizations throughout the fight for women’s right to vote.
